Verizon Business Unveils Cloud-Based Application Assurance

E-mail Print PDF

Verizon Business Application Assurance is a  Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)-based offering available to Verizon Private IP customers. This enables Verizon customers to monitor network as well as application traffic. Network Computing reports that Verizon uses passive APM by integrating Fluke Networks Netflow Tracker to capture Netflow and IPFIX  records from your edge router.  Analysis is provided by Fluke's Visual Performance Manager. Verizon Application Assurance also used Fluke's NetAlly, an active APM agent installed on endpoints that reports performance characteristics. Verizon has integrated Fluke's technology into their management portal and doesn't require any equipment on customer premises.

Verizon says that since the new cloud-based capability is offered to Private IP customers via a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model, it eliminates the need for companies to purchase or maintain network-management software and hardware.
